Since 1930, Cub Scouting has remained a character-building institution that embraces the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. It is an exciting program of learning and fun that proves to be an enjoyable and memorable experience for Cub Scouts and their parents.
First- through fifth-grade boys (or, boys aged 7 through 10) are eligible to join Cub-scouting. Each boy participates in a program appropriate for his age, both as an individual and with other boys in a den. Each level of scouting has its own Scout Handbook which spells out the “tracks” (merit requirements) for advancement along the Cub Scouting trail.
Cub Scout Pack 780 has been recognized by the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) as a Quality Unit due to its tradition of monthly activities, regular advancement, recognition of its own Cub Scouts, outstanding parent volunteers, and summertime activities & awards. We have regular weekly Den meetings, monthly Pack meetings, and lots of other fun activities.
FBCSC charters Cub Scout Pack 780 as part of its overall program for neighborhood youth and families, in accordance with BSA policies and guidelines. Any family supportive of Scouting ideals of may participate, and not need to be members of FBCSC.
